dive boat

Our Dive Boat makes an excellent platform for diving! She is a 46' Delta charter boat with a 14.6' beam. The hull is heavily laid fiberglass designed to withstand the rigors of Alaskan waters. She is inspected by the US Coast Guard annually, and is certified for 20 passengers, although we limit ourselves to 12 divers. We have a self-deploying life raft, EPIRB, Oxygen, first aid, and all emergency supplies onboard. Our staff are CPR and first aid certified and in many cases, first aid instructors. The vessel has a heated cabin and onboard restroom for your comfort. Enjoy a warm shower after your dive, and warm up with a cup of Brandons famous hot chocolate!

A typical day of diving with us:

You'll meet us at the dive shop prior to your trip so you can check out your gear. Unless other arrangements have been arranged, you'll be responsible for your gear from the time you leave the shop until the time you return it to the shop. The boat charter is a separate deal.Unlike our warm water counter-parts, we have to travel 2 hours south to reach our dive boat. If you choose to provide your own transportation to Seward where our dive boat is located, we'll meet you at 9:30 am and board the dive boat. After you sign the liability release and check your gear, we'll head out to the dive site somewhere in Resurrection Bay. The Captain will choose a site capable of providing the right level of challenge to those divers on board, and after about an hour underway you'll be splashing for your first dive. We'll spend about an hour between dives, while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate or tea, before jumping back in for the second dive. Our average dive depths are about 80 and 50 feet respectively, but we let you manage your own dives unless a dive guide is specifically requested. On the way back to the harbor, we'll watch for Whales, Bald Eagles, Mountain Goat, Dall's Porpoise, Sea Lions, and Sea Birds of all kinds. We have a warm shower for after your dives, and a fresh water rinse tank for your gear.
